The 2009  Award Week showcased the breadth and versatitily of the institute: the grass-roots level practical work with children in refugee camps, the theories and visions that have kept the work going for 20 years, the publishing house and the human rights campaigns.

The Tamer Institute delegation visited Stockholm, München, Lund and Vimmerby and participated at a number of different events: meeting reading-promotion colleagues at a round-table discussion, children and youth at the Stockholm house of culture, and a large audience of teachers and librarians in Lund.
