Shaun Tan will come to Sweden to participate in the award week 21-31 of May. The Australian illustrator and author will visit Vimmerby, München in Germany and Lillehammer in Norway. In Stockholm, Shaun Tan will hold lectures at the House of Culture and the Parliament Library. The grand finale is the award ceremony at the Stockholm Concert Hall on May 31.

 
Highlights of the award week program

May 23: Visit to the house of fantasy play, Junibacken.
May 24: Participation in the opening of the Children & Books program at Skansen.
May 24: Official award winner lecture at the House of Culture in Stockholm. Open lecture.
May 25: Lecture at International Youth Library in München, Germany.
May 26: Key-note speaker at the literary festival in Lillehammer, Norway.
May 28: Visit to Astrid Lindgren’s Näs in Vimmerby, the birthplace of Astrid Lindgren.
May 30: Workshops with children at the House of Culture in Stockholm.
May 30: Public program at the Parliament Library. Open lecture.
May 31: Award Ceremony at Stockholm Concert Hall. H.R.H. Crown Princess Victoria will present the award in the presence of Minister of Foreign Trade, Ewa Björling.
